As data collection and management regulations increase in number and complexity, enterprises must enlist IT privacy professionals to successfully implement data privacy programs from a technical perspective. To support this effort, ISACA® created the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) certification, the first experience-based, technical certification of its kind. For a limited time, professionals can earn their CDPSE certification during its early adoption period, which will end on 31 March 2021.
CDPSE is designed to assess an individual’s ability to use privacy-by-design principles to build public trust and advance data privacy. To be eligible for CDPSE, the following requirements must be met:
- Work experience—Applicants must have 5 years of work experience performing the work described within the exam content outline. Experience must be earned in a minimum of 2 of the domains described in the CDPSE exam content outline.
- Experience waivers—Applicants can reduce the work experience requirements to 3 years by holding one of the following certifications:
In addition, applicants are required to submit the CDPSE early adoption fee, which covers the cost of application processing.
